Strategic leadership in public sector involves moving beyond routine administration to vision-driven transformation, focusing on effective policy implementation, improved service delivery, and adapting to crises like economic instability, though challenges persist with political interference, legacy bureaucracy, and skill gaps, necessitating modern approaches like adaptive governance, Management by Objectives (MBO), and specific training like the LEAPS program to foster innovation, accountability, and better outcomes for citizens.

The Honourable Commissioner for Finance and Chief Economic Adviser, Ogun State, Hon. Otunba OlaDapo AbdulRahman Okubadejo stands as a beacon of patriotism, dedication, progress, and tremendous integrity, a dynamic and humble technocratic turned progressive leader whose actions speak louder than promises and work continues to shape the progress of Ogun State and redeems the image of Ijebu-Ode.

I must sincerely acknowledge, appreciate and commend His Excellency, Prince Dr AdeDapo Abiodun MFR, CON, whose vision and sincere passion continues to guide Ogun State on a clear path of growth. His ability to strategically identify capable hands and place them in positions of impact speaks to strong leadership skills of His Excellency. Hon. Otunba Dapo Okubadejo stands as one of such decision without regret. A Royal Prince not only Son of the soil and a great ambassador of Ijebu Ode, trusted with a strategic role in shaping a new and progressive Ogun State.

Hon. Otunba OlaDapo Okubadejo represents leadership driven by purpose and results. His role in supporting the revival and construction of long-neglected roads in Ijebu Ode, ( Epe Ijebu-Ode Expressway) and across the Ogun State reflects and most especially Gateway International Cargo Airport with Dynamism among many other legacy institutions done by the present administration under the leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun MFR. CON, is a deep sense of responsibility to the people. These projects go beyond infrastructure. They reconnect communities, improve movement, support trade, and restore confidence in governance.
I have watched his approach closely. He works with well equipped environmental understanding and diversification while remains focused on his goals and responsibilities beyond governance. He pays attention to every detail. He ensures plans align with resources and timelines. His guidance has strengthened financial discipline and supported key projects that touch daily lives and offcourse the successful political transformation in Ijebu-Ode and Ogun State.

Since inception of this government in 2019 and his appointment as Honourable Commissioner for Finance and Chief Economic Adviser to the Governor, Ogun State, together, their efforts show a government that values delivery, fairness, and inclusion. The visible changes across Ogun State, especially in Ijebu Ode, confirm that leadership anchored on planning and commitment produces real results.

I want to specially thank our Ijebu Ambassador, Leader, Boss, and darling Egbon with a golden heart full of fear of Allah(swt) for those that knows you, Hon. Otunba OlaDapo AbdulRahman Okubadejo Okubadejo for his sincere patriotism, selfless services, discipline, and his steady contribution to the development of our dear Gateway State, Ijebuland and human capital development. Ogun State moves forward with confidence, and his work remains part of that progress.
