for allegedly impersonating Taskforce officials and extorting motorists at Oshodi and surrounding areas.

The suspects were arrested at Oshodi Bus Stop along the Bolade-Iyana Ipaja Expressway, a location known for such illicit activities.

Plainclothes officers from the Taskforce, acting on intelligence, caught the duo in the act of falsely accusing motorists of traffic violations, including driving against traffic, and demanding bribes under the guise of official enforcement.
Chairman of the Taskforce, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, confirmed that the suspects had been terrorizing motorists by impersonating enforcement officers and collecting bribes. He emphasized that such fraudulent activities tarnish the reputation of the agency and undermine public trust in law enforcement.

The arrested suspects are expected to be arraigned in court to face charges related to impersonation and extortion. The Taskforce continues to urge the public to remain vigilant and report any incidents of impersonation to help maintain the integrity of law enforcement in Lagos State.
