Sokoto, Nigeria – December 21, 2025
The declaration was contained in a statement signed by the Wazirin Sokoto, Professor Sambo Wali Junaidu, who also serves as the Chairman of the Sultanate Council Advisory Committee on Religious Affairs.
According to the statement, the Sultanate Council Advisory Committee on Religious Affairs, in conjunction with the National Moon Sighting Committee, did not receive any report confirming the sighting of the crescent moon of Rajab from any part of the country on Saturday, December 20, 2025.
