Tinubu Swears in New RMAFC, FCSC Commissioners at Federal Executive Council Meeting

Abuja, Nigeria — March 5, 2026
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sworn in newly appointed commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) and the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) during a meeting of the Federal Executive Council at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The swearing-in ceremony took place as part of the council’s proceedings aimed at strengthening key federal institutions responsible for fiscal governance and civil service administration in Nigeria.
The newly inaugurated commissioners are expected to play critical roles in advancing the mandates of their respective commissions. The Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission is responsible for monitoring the accruals and disbursement of revenues from the Federation Account, as well as advising the government on fiscal efficiency and revenue allocation.
Meanwhile, the Federal Civil Service Commission oversees appointments, promotions, and discipline within the Federal Civil Service, ensuring that administrative processes align with established rules and standards.
The ceremony underscored the administration’s commitment to strengthening institutional capacity, promoting accountability, and improving governance across federal agencies.
The appointments are expected to enhance the operational effectiveness of both commissions as they carry out their statutory responsibilities in supporting Nigeria’s public sector management and fiscal stability.
