Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun has expressed deep sympathy for the victims of a devastating gas explosion that rocked the Ita-Oshin area of Abeokuta, the state capital, around 5 pm today.

According to reports, the incident occurred following a fire sparked by a lone accident involving a gas truck with the inscription Gasco Marine Bar 250 at the Ita Oshin junction, a few meters from the roundabout.

The truck, en route to Abeokuta, lost control and collided with the road pavement before coming to a halt. The driver fled the scene, leaving behind a tragic scene. Sadly, the truck boy lost his life in the accident, with his mutilated remains deposited at the General Hospital, Ijaiye.
