TRAINING INSTITUTIONS WITHIN CHINDIT CANTONMENT, ZARIA HOLD JOINT WASA

Chindit Cantonment, Zaria – 17 January 2026

Training institutions within Chindit Cantonment, Zaria, comprising the Depot Nigerian Army (DNA) Zaria, Nigerian Military School (NMS) and the Army School of Physical Training (ASPT), on Friday, 17 January 2026, held a joint West African Social Activities (WASA).
The colourful event took place at the Regimental Sergeant Major Hama Kim Parade Ground, Chindit Cantonment, Zaria.

The Commandant, Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership and Peacekeeping Centre, graced the occasion as the Special Guest of Honour. Also in attendance were the host and Commandant, Depot Nigerian Army Zaria, Major General A.B. Mohammed; the Commandant, Nigerian Military School, Brigadier General O.N. Ejiga; and the Commandant, Army School of Physical Training, Colonel G. Bello.

Other dignitaries present included the Commandant, Nigerian Army School of Infantry, Major General F.S. Etim; the NAOWA Zonal Coordinator, Zaria Chapter, Mrs Saadatu Mohammed; as well as officers, soldiers and their families within Chindit Cantonment. Friends and well-wishers also attended the event.
The joint WASA featured traditional meal tasting, rich cultural displays, comedy performances and other social activities, fostering unity, camaraderie and esprit de corps among personnel of the various training institutions within the cantonment.
