
UAE Donates 50 Tonnes of Aid to Nigeria for Flood Victims
In a gesture of international solidarity, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has donated 50 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Nigeria, aimed at providing relief to those affected by recent floods. The aid package was officially received by Nigerian government officials at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

The UAE Ambassador to Nigeria, Salem Alshamsi, handed over the relief materials on behalf of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Al Nahyan. The donation underscores the UAE’s continued commitment to assisting countries affected by natural disasters.
Dr. Ahmed Dunoma, Permanent Secretary of Nigeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, expressed deep gratitude to the UAE, acknowledging the strong bilateral relations between the two nations. He also conveyed the appreciation of President Bola Tinubu.

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Director-General, Zubaida Umar, also lauded the UAE for the timely support, stating that the aid would complement the Nigerian government’s efforts to assist those impacted by the floods. This contribution is expected to play a vital role in helping victims recover from the disaster and restore their livelihoods.
The donation further strengthens the ties between Nigeria and the UAE, showcasing the importance of global cooperation in times of crisis.
