
VP Shettima Represents President Tinubu at 2024 US-Africa Business Summit
The Vice President of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima, is set to depart Abuja for Dallas, United States, to represent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the 2024 US-Africa Business Summit organized by the Corporate Council on Africa.

Scheduled to take place at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas, the summit will gather political and business leaders from Africa, the United States, and beyond for high-level dialogues, networking sessions, and plenary discussions.
Among the distinguished African leaders expected to attend are H.E. Joseph Boakai, President of Liberia; H.E. Lazarus Chakwera, President of Malawi; H.E. Joao Lourenço, President of Angola; H.E. Mokgweetsi E. K. Masisi, President of Botswana; H.E. José Maria Neves, President of Cabo Verde, and Hon. Nthomeng Majara, Deputy Prime Minister of Lesotho.
During the summit, Vice President Shettima will participate in various sessions, including a Roundtable on African Infrastructure Investment focusing on impact and returns. He will also speak on a high-level panel discussing agribusiness, with a theme centered on transitioning “from food insecurity to thriving agribusinesses.”
Additionally, the Vice President will address a plenary session on Navigating Africa’s Energy Future and chair a session dedicated to promoting the ‘invest in Nigeria’ initiative.
In addition to his scheduled engagements, Vice President Shettima will participate in various meetings and discussions on the sidelines of the summit.
Upon the completion of his engagements in the United States, Vice President Shettima is expected to return to Nigeria.
