World Bank Country Director Inaugurates Schools, Flyover, and Dualised Roads in Borno

The Country Director, Dr. Mathew Varghis, has officially inaugurated three newly constructed schools, a modern flyover, and three expanded dualised township roads in Borno State.
The landmark ceremony, held in Maiduguri, marks a significant milestone in the ongoing development partnership between the World Bank and the Borno State Government. The projects are aimed at enhancing access to quality education, improving transportation infrastructure, and stimulating economic growth across the state.
Speaking during the inauguration, Dr. Varghis reaffirmed the World Bank’s commitment to supporting sustainable development initiatives that directly improve the lives of citizens. The flyover, strategically constructed to decongest one of Maiduguri’s busiest intersections, represents a major leap in urban infrastructure development.
