APC National Chairman Yilwatda Leads Three Days Strategic Retreat In Borno

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, is leading the national leadership and state chairmen of the party at a three-day strategic retreat in Maiduguri, Borno State.

The retreat brings together key party leaders and invited stakeholders to deliberate on issues affecting the party’s organisation, unity and preparedness for the 2027 general elections.

Themed “Strengthening Party Organisation, Unity and Electoral Readiness Towards 2027,” the meeting is expected to provide a platform for the APC leadership to assess the party’s internal structures, strengthen coordination between the national and state leadership, and develop strategies for improving grassroots engagement.

Discussions at the retreat are also expected to focus on maintaining party cohesion, improving communication among party organs, strengthening mobilisation structures and ensuring that members and leaders work collectively toward the party’s objectives ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle.

The choice of Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, also provides an opportunity for the party’s national leadership to engage with stakeholders in the Northeast and acknowledge the region’s role within the APC’s political structure.

The gathering underscores the importance the party leadership places on organisational preparedness and internal unity as political activities gradually intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
