41RC ALUMNI HONOUR COAS GENERAL SHAIBU, CELEBRATE LEGACY OF SERVICE

The 41 Regular Course (41RC) Alumni Association has held a reunion dinner and grand reception in honour of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, at the Nigerian Army Conference Centre and Suites in Abuja.

The event, held on Sunday, 27 September 2026, brought together members of the course to celebrate more than three decades of friendship, military service, leadership and sacrifice, while recognising Lieutenant General Shaibu as one of the course’s distinguished members.

Members of the 41RC have served in the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Navy and Nigerian Air Force in various operational, command, staff, instructional and strategic roles, contributing to Nigeria’s national defence and the development of the Armed Forces.

The reunion also paid tribute to coursemates who lost their lives in training accidents, aviation incidents and active military service. Their sacrifices were remembered as an important part of the enduring legacy of the course.

The occasion further reaffirmed the values of discipline, comradeship, professionalism and dedication to service instilled at the Nigerian Defence Academy. More than three decades after graduation, members continue to uphold the spirit of unity and service reflected in the 41RC motto: “United in Friendship for Progress. Bound by Service. Strengthened by Sacrifice. Remembered by Legacy.”
