Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami has emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for Gombe State ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Pantami emerged victorious at the fresh governorship primary election conducted by the party following a court order directing the PDP to conduct a new primary.

He polled 2,054 votes to defeat the two other aspirants who contested the ticket, securing the party’s nomination to represent the PDP in the 2027 Gombe State governorship election.

The outcome places Pantami at the centre of the PDP’s preparations for the forthcoming election, as the party moves to consolidate its campaign structure and mobilise support across the state.
