Hon. Joseph Folorunsho Adegbesan, Member of the House of Representatives representing Ijebu North, Ijebu East and Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency, has received a strong show of solidarity and renewed commitment to his re-election bid from the support groups of Hon. Dr. Oluwadare Kehinde, popularly known as Hacco, Executive Chairman of Ijebu East Local Government.

The commitment was made on Sunday, October 4, 2026, when Adegbesan paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Dr. Kehinde and his support groups in Ijebu-Ife, Ijebu East Local Government Area. The visit provided an opportunity for political stakeholders and supporters within the Hacco support structure to reaffirm their loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and strengthen their resolve to work together ahead of the forthcoming elections.

The gathering attracted members of Hon. Dr. Kehinde’s various support groups drawn from the three local government areas that make up Adegbesan’s federal constituency. In a warm and enthusiastic atmosphere, the groups assured the lawmaker of their readiness to mobilise their structures, supporters and grassroots networks towards his successful re-election, while equally committing to the overall success of the APC and its candidates at all levels.

Speaking during the engagement, members of the groups expressed confidence in Adegbesan’s representation and acknowledged the importance of unity among APC leaders, stakeholders and grassroots supporters. They stressed that the forthcoming elections provide an opportunity for the party to consolidate its presence across the constituency and Ogun State, pledging to work collectively to deliver victory for all APC candidates.

The groups further assured that their mobilisation would not be limited to the Federal Constituency election, but would extend across the ballot—from the presidential election to the National Assembly, governorship and State House of Assembly elections. They expressed optimism that, through effective grassroots mobilisation, coordination and unity of purpose, the APC would record a decisive victory across the polling units.

The meeting underscored the growing importance of collaboration among APC stakeholders as the party prepares for the 2027 elections. For Adegbesan, the visit was not merely a courtesy call, but another opportunity to deepen relationships with grassroots leaders and supporters, appreciate their contributions to the party and strengthen the collective political machinery ahead of the elections.

The engagement ended on a highly positive note, with participants joining in songs of praise and thanksgiving, reflecting the cordiality, unity and optimism that characterised the gathering.
