The Sokoto State Government has denied reports that students of Gamji Memorial College were abducted, describing the claim as inaccurate and urging members of the public to rely on verified information.
The government said there was no confirmed incident involving the mass abduction of students from the school, amid concerns and reports circulating about the safety of students in the state.

The denial is expected to calm fears among parents, guardians and residents while authorities continue to monitor the security situation around schools and other vulnerable communities.
The state government also reiterated the importance of obtaining information from relevant security agencies and official government channels before sharing reports of attacks or abductions, particularly because unverified claims can create unnecessary panic.
Security remains a major concern across parts of northern Nigeria, with state authorities and security agencies continuing efforts to protect schools, students and communities from criminal attacks.
