Hon. Olalekan Moibi Ibrahim, an All Progressives Congress, APC, House of Assembly aspirant and leader of the Ijebu City Boy Movement, has reaffirmed his commitment to party unity, grassroots development and the progress of Ijebu Ode Constituency.

Moibi made the position known in a statement following the decision of APC leadership to support Asiwaju Mokesiuwa Seun-Adedamola, also known as AKESI, as the party’s candidate for the Ogun State House of Assembly.

He said he respected the decision of the party leadership and described the emergence of Seun-Adedamola as a choice made by the party’s leadership.

Moibi also extended his goodwill and support to the candidate, stressing that his interest in public service goes beyond personal political ambition.

“For me, politics has never been solely about personal ambition. It is about service, responsibility, loyalty and the larger interest of the people,” he said.

According to him, his decision to seek the House of Assembly seat was driven by a desire to serve the people of Ijebu Ode and contribute to the development of the constituency.

He listed responsible leadership, meaningful representation, community development, youth inclusion, party unity, progress and development among the principles guiding his political activities.

Moibi said the strength of a political party depends on its ability to maintain unity and respect collective decisions, including during periods when individual ambitions do not prevail.

He reaffirmed his commitment to the APC structure and said he would continue to contribute his experience, relationships and grassroots network toward the party’s objectives at different levels.

He also called on members, supporters and associates of the Ijebu City Boy Movement to remain calm and focused while maintaining their commitment to the party.

“Personal ambition may define a political journey, but character defines a leader,” he said.

Moibi further reaffirmed his commitment to serving his constituency and supporting efforts toward peace, unity and development across Ogun State.

He concluded by declaring that his political journey and commitment to public service would continue despite the outcome of the current selection process.
