Brighter Darkness.

I spent most of my childhood in the dark.
I could scream your head off if you bring a light around me.
I was so comfortable in the shadows and in the dark.
It brought me peace and comfort.
No one could see what I looked like, no one could read the feelings on my face or even see me, that was my life.
I dwelt in darkness and basked in it.
I was never afraid of it like other children.

Until one day, I decided to crawl out of that dark shell.
I was done being a coward who hides in the shadows.
I’m human not a ghost…
And the world needs to hear my voice and see me.
So I did it.
I was done letting my fears control me.

I came out and I shined brighter than ever.
The life I thought was so bleak and dull became full of life, exciting and bright!
It was then I realized…Fear is only powerful when we give in to it.

You’ll never be able to find yourself if you’re lost in fear and darkness.

Fear should learn to fear you!
