Governor Dapo Abiodun’s approval in December 2023 paved the way for the procurement of this cutting-edge transmitter, signaling a commitment to modernizing communication infrastructure for the benefit of all citizens.
Manufactured to precision by RVR Elletronica in Bologna, Italy, the 5KW transmitter represents the pinnacle of broadcasting technology. Its powerful signal ensures crystal-clear reception, extending OGBC’s coverage to previously underserved areas and enabling the station to reach a wider audience.
Mrs. Toyin Sogbesan, OGBC’s General Manager, expressed her enthusiasm for the new transmitter, highlighting its potential to revolutionize broadcasting operations. She emphasized that this upgrade would eliminate the challenges posed by the old 35KW transmitter, ensuring uninterrupted and reliable broadcasting.
