Yahaya Bello Allegedly Pays Over $845,000 in Tuition Fees for Children

In a shocking revelation, it has been reported that Yahaya Bello, the Governor of Kogi State, allegedly paid an astounding sum of over $845,000 (equivalent to over 1 billion naira) in tuition fees for his children at the American International School of Abuja.

Documents obtained purportedly show receipts of the tuition fees paid by Bello from the 2025 session through the 2031 session, covering the entirety of his children’s schooling years at the institution.

According to the documents, Bello reportedly signed a contract with the American International School of Abuja to prepay the substantial sum of $845,000 in tuition fees. However, it is claimed that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) intervened and requested the school to forward the details of the fees paid by Bello.

In response to the EFCC’s request, the American International School of Abuja allegedly offered to refund £760,000 of the said amount, leaving a considerable sum yet to be accounted for.

The revelation has sparked outrage and raised questions about the source of funds used to pay such exorbitant tuition fees. Critics have called for an investigation into the matter to ascertain whether Bello abused his office or misappropriated public funds.

As of now, there has been no official statement from Governor Yahaya Bello or his representatives addressing these allegations. However, the purported documents circulating online have stirred significant public interest and demand for accountability.

The story continues to unfold as concerned citizens await further developments and clarification regarding the staggering amount of tuition fees allegedly paid by Governor Yahaya Bello for his children’s education.
