Covid-19: fifth wave looms as Nigeria records 3 deaths in one week

The latest NCDC data shows that the new cases have raised Nigeria’s infection toll to 260,399

Nigeria may be soon be hit by the fifth wave of covid-19 as the country recorded 1,332 infections and three fatalities between July 16 and 23.

NCDC had hinted at the possibility of a fifth wave before the 2022 Eid-el-kabir celebrations, urging Nigerians to adhere to recommended public health safety measures amidst the rising cases of infections in the country.
