NSCDC ARRESTS TWO SUSPECTS FOR FAKE FRUIT JUICE PRODUCTION IN BANDATRY

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested two suspects over the alleged production of counterfeit fruit juice in Bandatry, Lagos State.

The suspects were reportedly apprehended during an operation carried out by the NSCDC as part of efforts to curb the production and distribution of adulterated and counterfeit consumable products.

Items allegedly used in the production process were recovered from the premises, while the suspects are expected to assist investigators in establishing the source and distribution network of the products.

The NSCDC said it would continue to intensify operations against activities that endanger public health and violate relevant laws, while urging members of the public to report suspected cases of counterfeit food and beverage production to the appropriate authorities.
