TINUBU CONGRATULATES BELLO SHAGARI ON ELECTION AS NAMYO CHAIRPERSON

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Muhammed Bello Bala Shagari on his election as Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Youth Organisation (NAMYO) for the 2026–2029 term.
In a congratulatory message issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu described Shagari’s emergence as a significant achievement for Nigeria and recognition of his contributions to youth development and international engagement.
Shagari, who previously served as NAMYO Vice Chairperson for Africa and President of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, is expected to use his new position to promote youth cooperation, peace, sustainable development and the aspirations of young people across the Global South.
Tinubu urged the newly elected chairperson to uphold the principles of service, inclusiveness and mutual respect while leading the organisation. He also reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to creating opportunities for Nigerian youths through skills development, entrepreneurship, innovation, education and greater participation in national and international affairs.
The President wished Shagari a successful tenure and assured him of the Federal Government’s support as he assumes the new international youth leadership role.
