Kaduna Agog Ahead of APC Presidential Campaign Flag-Off
Kaduna State witnessed a large turnout of supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Saturday, October 24, 2026, ahead of the official flag-off of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential campaign for the 2027 general elections.
The Kaduna Township Stadium attracted party faithful, political stakeholders, support groups and other participants from different parts of the country who gathered to witness the commencement of the party’s campaign activities.
According to reports, the state capital experienced increased political activities, with APC flags, banners and campaign materials displayed across several locations. Supporters were also seen wearing branded outfits, singing political songs and engaging in various activities ahead of the arrival of President Tinubu and other party leaders.
The campaign flag-off followed days of preparations by the party’s leadership, organising committees and security agencies to ensure the smooth conduct of the event. Security personnel were deployed to strategic locations across the state capital, while arrangements were made to manage the expected crowd and movement of dignitaries.
Ahead of the rally, supporters affiliated with the APC Presidential Campaign Council conducted a solidarity march through parts of Kaduna. The procession, led by the council’s Support Groups Mobilisation Directorate, culminated in a reception by Governor Uba Sani at the Government House.
The governor welcomed the visiting supporters and acknowledged their participation in the party’s mobilisation activities. Campaign officials also highlighted the importance of grassroots engagement and coordination among support groups as preparations for the 2027 general elections intensify.
The Kaduna rally marks a significant stage in the APC’s efforts to organise its campaign ahead of the forthcoming presidential election. It provides a platform for the party’s leadership to engage supporters, communicate its policy priorities and present its plans for another term in office.
However, the scale of participation at a political rally does not, on its own, establish the level of support a candidate will receive in an election. The eventual outcome of the 2027 presidential contest will be determined by voters through the electoral process.
As political activities gather momentum across the country, stakeholders are expected to prioritise peaceful participation, issue-based engagement and respect for democratic principles throughout the campaign period.
