INEC Makes Voters’ Register Accessible Online Ahead Of 2027 General Election
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that the voters’ register for the 2027 General Election is now accessible online, following concerns raised by some stakeholders regarding its physical display.
In a statement, INEC National Commissioner and Chairman of the Information and Voter Education Committee, Mohammed Kudu Haruna, said the online platform provides an additional means of accessing the register alongside the physical display already conducted.
He noted that the initiative reflects the Commission’s commitment to transparency, accessibility and strengthening public confidence in the electoral process.
