Northern Senators Forum Condemns Binari Attack, Demands Arrest Of Perpetrators
The Northern Senators Forum has condemned the attack on Binari community in Karim-Lamido Local Government Area of Taraba State, which occurred last weekend.
In a statement, the Chairman of the Forum, Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’Adua, described the killing of worshippers, women and children after Juma’at prayers on Friday as shocking and inhuman.
The Forum called for a comprehensive security operation in Karim-Lamido and along the River Benue corridor, including the establishment of a Forward Operating Base along the Kompany-Asusar route to strengthen security and prevent further attacks.
It also urged the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to provide relief materials to affected residents while demanding the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for the attack.
