PRESIDENT TINUBU HOSTS MEDIA EXECUTIVES TO INTERFAITH BREAKING OF FAST AT STATE HOUSE

Abuja, Nigeria — 16 March 2026
The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, on Monday hosted media executives, members of the Newspaper Proprietors’ Association of Nigeria, and the Nigerian Guild of Editors to an interfaith breaking of fast marking both Ramadan and Lent at the State House Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The event brought together key stakeholders from Nigeria’s media industry in a moment of reflection and unity as Muslims and Christians observe the sacred seasons of Ramadan and Lent.
Also in attendance was the Vice President of Nigeria, Kashim Shettima, alongside other senior government officials and invited guests.
The gathering highlighted the spirit of religious tolerance, national unity, and shared values that define Nigeria’s diverse society. It also provided an opportunity for engagement between the Presidency and leaders of the media industry.
The interfaith breaking of fast reflects the administration’s commitment to fostering dialogue, mutual understanding, and cooperation with the media as a critical partner in national development.
