VP Kashim Shettima Charges NCS to Sustain World-Class Standards for ‘Made-in-Nigeria’ Products

The Vice President of Nigeria, Kashim Shettima, has charged the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) to sustain world-class standards in the promotion and regulation of ‘Made-in-Nigeria’ products.

The Vice President gave the directive as part of ongoing efforts by the Federal Government of Nigeria to boost local production, enhance export quality, and strengthen the country’s position in international trade.

He emphasized the critical role of the NCS in ensuring that locally manufactured goods meet global standards, noting that maintaining quality is essential for increasing competitiveness in foreign markets and building confidence in Nigerian products.

Shettima also highlighted the importance of collaboration between regulatory agencies and manufacturers to ensure compliance with international best practices, adding that improved standards would help drive economic growth, create jobs, and reduce reliance on imports.

The Vice President reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to supporting policies and initiatives that promote industrialization and elevate the global reputation of ‘Made-in-Nigeria’ goods.
