INEC EXTENDS PVC COLLECTION AT REGISTRATION AREA LEVEL IN OSUN

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has extended the collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) at the Registration Area (RA)/Ward level in Osun State to Friday, 31 July 2026, following large crowds and complaints from voters at collection centres.
The extension means that:
- PVC collection at Registration Area (Ward) centres will now continue until Friday, 31 July 2026.
- Collection at INEC Local Government Area (LGA) offices will now take place from Saturday, 1 August to Friday, 7 August 2026, instead of the earlier schedule.
According to INEC, the decision was taken to enable more eligible voters to collect their PVCs ahead of the 15 August 2026 Osun State Governorship Election. The commission urged all registered voters who are yet to collect their cards to take advantage of the extended period, stressing that the PVC remains the only valid means of voter accreditation on election day.
