DEFENCE HEADQUARTERS GRADUATES AIR-TO-GROUND COMBATANTS, REAFFIRMS BATTLE READINESS

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has graduated a new set of Air-to-Ground Combatants following the successful completion of an intensive joint operations training programme aimed at enhancing operational effectiveness across Nigeria’s security landscape.

The graduation ceremony underscored the Armed Forces of Nigeria’s commitment to building a highly skilled, combat-ready force capable of responding to evolving security challenges through coordinated air and ground operations.

Military authorities noted that the training equipped participants with advanced tactical skills, improved interoperability, and enhanced coordination between air and land components, ensuring greater precision and effectiveness in joint military operations.

Speaking at the ceremony, senior defence officials reaffirmed the military’s resolve to sustain continuous training and capacity development as a critical pillar of national security. They emphasized that maintaining a well-trained and battle-ready force remains essential to ongoing efforts to combat terrorism, insurgency, banditry, kidnapping, and other emerging security threats.
The Defence Headquarters also reiterated its commitment to strengthening joint operational capabilities, modernizing military training, and enhancing the professionalism of personnel in line with global best practices. The newly graduated combatants are expected to play a vital role in supporting ongoing operations aimed at safeguarding Nigeria’s territorial integrity and protecting the lives and property of citizens.
