NIGERIAN CORRECTIONAL SERVICE SANCTIONS 3 OFFICIALS OVER IBARA CUSTODIAL CENTRE SECURITY BREACH
The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has sanctioned three officers following a security breach at the Ibara Medium Security Custodial Centre in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The disciplinary action was taken after an internal investigation found the officers negligent in the discharge of their duties, leading to the security lapse. The affected personnel have been subjected to administrative sanctions in line with the Service’s regulations.
The NCoS reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining discipline, professionalism, and accountability across all custodial centres nationwide. It also emphasized that any officer found to have compromised operational standards would face appropriate disciplinary measures.
The Service assured the public that additional security measures have been implemented at the Ibara Custodial Centre to prevent similar incidents and maintain the safety and integrity of custodial facilities.
