Police Arrest Two Suspected Kidnappers, Five Armed Robbery Suspects in Anambra

The Anambra State Police Command has arrested seven suspects, including two suspected kidnappers and five suspected armed robbers, in separate operations carried out across the state.

The command said the arrests followed intelligence-led operations targeted at disrupting criminal activities and improving security in communities across Anambra State.
According to the police, operatives recovered items believed to be connected to the suspects during the operations. The command said investigations are continuing to determine the full extent of the suspects’ alleged activities and to identify other individuals who may be connected to the criminal networks.
The police said the operations form part of ongoing efforts to tackle serious crimes, particularly kidnapping, armed robbery and other forms of violent crime that threaten the safety of residents and communities.
The command reiterated its commitment to protecting lives and property, while urging residents to continue supporting security agencies by providing useful information that could assist in preventing and investigating criminal activities.
The arrested suspects are expected to be charged to court after the completion of investigations, in line with due process
