Coas Charges Troops in Ophk to Sustain Offensive Against Terrorists, Assures of Improved Welfare

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) has charged troops operating under Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) to sustain their offensive against terrorists in the North-East, while assuring them of improved welfare and better support.
The directive highlights the Nigerian Army’s determination to maintain pressure on terrorist groups and strengthen ongoing efforts to restore peace and security across the region.

The COAS urged the troops to remain disciplined, vigilant and committed to their operational responsibilities. He stressed the importance of sustaining military operations, strengthening intelligence gathering and improving cooperation among security agencies to tackle terrorism and other security threats.

Operation Hadin Kai is the military’s operation in the North-East, where troops continue to conduct missions aimed at dismantling terrorist networks, protecting civilians and restoring normalcy to communities affected by insurgency.
The Army chief also assured personnel that their welfare remains a priority, acknowledging the sacrifices they make while serving in challenging and dangerous operational environments.

Improved welfare support is considered essential to boosting troop morale, maintaining operational effectiveness and encouraging personnel to remain dedicated to their duties.
The assurance is expected to reassure soldiers serving on the frontline that the Army leadership is committed to addressing their welfare needs while they continue to carry out their responsibilities.
