APC Supporters Hold Grand Solidarity Rally in Yobe for Tinubu’s Re-election

Supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe State have staged a grand solidarity rally in Damaturu to express support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The rally, organised under the umbrella of the Tinubu Must Go Again (TMGA) movement, attracted party supporters, youth groups, women, students, traders and political stakeholders from different parts of the state.

The procession, which took place on Saturday, November 7, 2026, commenced around 7:30 a.m. and moved along the Damaturu–Potiskum Road before concluding at approximately 11:30 a.m.
Participants displayed APC flags, campaign posters and placards bearing messages of solidarity with President Tinubu, reaffirming their commitment to mobilising grassroots support for his second-term ambition.

Speaking during the event, the National Coordinator of the movement, Professor Sheriff Almuhajir, said the rally was organised to strengthen political mobilisation and demonstrate the group’s support for President Tinubu and other APC candidates ahead of the forthcoming elections.
Almuhajir commended participants for maintaining peace and order throughout the procession, describing their conduct as a demonstration of political maturity and party unity.

The Secretary to the Yobe State Government, Dr. Muhammad Goje, also attended the rally alongside other APC stakeholders and political leaders.
Other dignitaries included the movement’s Yobe State Coordinator, Dr. Muktar Yerima, Chairman of the Coalition of Yobe APC Political Organisations, Bature Goneri, and APC State Youth Leader, Mohammed Gulani.
The organisers expressed confidence that the mobilisation exercise would strengthen the party’s grassroots structures and encourage greater political participation across Yobe State.

The rally represents part of the growing political activities and early mobilisation efforts by political groups ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general elections.
The procession reportedly ended peacefully without any major security incident.
