Leaders in North East Attend Funeral Prayers for Late EFCC Chair Lamorde

Abuja, Nigeria – Vice President Kashim Shettima, along with other notable dignitaries, gathered this afternoon at the National Mosque in Abuja for the Jana’iza (funeral prayers) of the late Ibrahim Lamorde, former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Lamorde passed away yesterday, leaving behind a legacy of anti-corruption efforts in Nigeria.

In attendance were the National Security Adviser, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Borno State Governor Prof. Babagana Zulum, Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, and Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq. The gathering also saw the presence of several National Assembly members and other public servants, reflecting the broad respect and recognition Lamorde had garnered throughout his career.
