Military Neutralizes Infamous Bandit Leader Kachallah Buzu in Zamfara State

In a significant victory in the ongoing fight against terrorism, the Joint Task Force Northwest OPHD has successfully neutralized the notorious bandit leader, Kachallah Buzu, along with several of his militants in Zamfara State. The operation took place on the night of September 12 in Mayanchi village.

The military’s strategic ambush, based on reliable intelligence regarding the movements of Buzu and his group, led to the elimination of the insurgents. According to intelligence sources shared with Zagazola Makama, the operation was meticulously planned, ensuring maximum impact on the bandits.

In addition to Buzu’s death, the ambush resulted in the capture of 30 motorcycles and a substantial cache of arms and ammunition, dealing a heavy blow to the group’s operational capabilities.

The elimination of Kachallah Buzu, a prominent figure in the banditry crisis in northwestern Nigeria, is expected to significantly disrupt the activities of his faction, which has been responsible for numerous attacks and kidnappings in the region.

This latest success adds to the Nigerian military’s recent strides in combating terrorism and banditry, as security forces continue to intensify their efforts to restore peace and security in Zamfara and other affected states.
