Governor Eno Fulfills Promises to Late Nollywood Artist’s Family

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has delivered on his promise to support the family of late Nollywood makeup artist, Abigail Edith Frederick. In a heartwarming gesture, the Governor handed over a newly remodeled and fully furnished six-bedroom bungalow to the family in Ikot Udoma, Eket Local Government Area.

The Governor also provided a business support grant of one million naira to the family, alongside an additional one million naira as an educational grant for Abigail’s two younger sisters, ensuring their continued academic progress.

Speaking on behalf of the Governor, Mr. Frank Archibong, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, recalled how Governor Eno visited the family on February 13, 2024, after the tragic passing of Abigail. During that visit, the Governor had promised to offer automatic employment to Abigail’s elder sister and assist her undergraduate siblings. He also directed that their family home be renovated to modern standards, a promise that has now been fulfilled.

“Pastor Umo Eno embodies empathy and joy, consistently supporting Akwa Ibomites in need,” Mr. Archibong noted, emphasizing that the Governor’s actions were driven by compassion rather than political motives.

Governor Eno’s intervention has brought much-needed relief to the bereaved family, reaffirming his commitment to providing support for Akwa Ibomites in their times of need.
