
Olubadan Commends Igbo Contribution to Commerce in Oyo
The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, has commended the Igbo community for their significant contributions to the economic development of Oyo State. The monarch also reiterated his commitment to fostering peaceful coexistence among the various ethnic groups in the ancient city.

“The Igbo community has been a pillar of strength in the economic growth of Ibadan and Oyo State at large. Their hard work, resilience, and commitment to trade and commerce have not gone unnoticed. We are grateful for their contributions and remain committed to ensuring a harmonious relationship among all ethnic groups in Ibadanland,” the Olubadan stated.
The monarch emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration in driving development and maintaining peace in the state. He called on all residents, regardless of ethnicity, to work together to build a prosperous and inclusive society.
