APC ANNOUNCES NATIONAL CAMPAIGN COUNCIL FOR OSUN GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has constituted its National Campaign Council and several sub-committees ahead of the Osun State governorship election scheduled for Saturday, August 15, 2026. The announcement was made in a statement issued on Sunday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, based on a notice signed by the APC National Secretary, Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru.  

The campaign council will be chaired by Imo State Governor and Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, Senator Hope Uzodimma. Serving as co-chairmen are:

  • Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni
  • Senate President Godswill Akpabio
  • Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas  

According to the APC, the council and its sub-committees were established to coordinate the party’s nationwide campaign efforts, mobilise stakeholders, and strengthen support for its candidate in the forthcoming off-cycle governorship election in Osun State.  

Reports also indicate that the campaign structure comprises 276 members, including governors, members of the National Working Committee (NWC), principal officers of the National Assembly, ministers, lawmakers, and other key party stakeholders.
