FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ASSURES PAYMENT OF OUTSTANDING WAGE AWARD BEFORE AUGUST, 15 TO BE FOLLOWED BY PROMOTION ARREARS

The Federal Government has assured workers that all outstanding wage award payments will be settled on or before August 15, with the payment of promotion arrears to commence immediately afterward.

The assurance was given as part of the government’s ongoing commitment to improving workers’ welfare and fulfilling its financial obligations to public servants. According to the government, the payment schedule reflects its resolve to address outstanding entitlements despite prevailing economic challenges.

Officials reiterated that the outstanding wage award will be fully paid before the stipulated deadline, while promotion arrears will be processed and disbursed subsequently to eligible workers.

The Federal Government reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining constructive engagement with organised labour and ensuring that agreements reached with workers are honoured in line with available resources.
