Former Nasarawa Deputy Governor Solomon Ewuga Dies at 70

Solomon Ewuga, a distinguished Nigerian politician who served as Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and Senator representing Nasarawa North in the 7th National Assembly, has passed away at the age of 70.
According to family sources, Senator Ewuga died on Tuesday in Egypt after a brief illness.
Ewuga’s extensive career in public service was marked by unwavering commitment, resilience, and political adaptability. He first gained prominence as Deputy Governor under former Governor Abdullahi Adamu. Later, he was appointed Minister of State for the FCT, where he played a vital role in the development of Nigeria’s capital city.
His tenure in the Senate further solidified his legacy, where he was a respected voice and advocate for the people of Nasarawa North. Notably, in December 2023, Ewuga made headlines by joining the All Progressives Congress (APC), ending his long-standing affiliation with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). This move highlighted his enduring political relevance and adaptability amid Nigeria’s dynamic political landscape.
