POLICE DEMAND EVIDENCE OF ALLEGED KIDNAPPING COLLABORATION  FROM VERYDARKMAN

Published August 28, 2026 · admin

The Nigeria Police Force has challenged social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, to provide credible evidence supporting his allegation that some police officers at highway checkpoints share travellers’ information with kidnappers and bandits.  

The police described the allegation as serious but unsubstantiated, stressing that any officer found to have compromised his duty would face disciplinary action and prosecution.

VeryDarkMan, however, said he stands by his claims and would present his evidence in court if the police charge him.

The development followed remarks he made during the 2026 Nigerian Bar Association conference in Port Harcourt, where he accused security personnel of contributing to the country’s insecurity.
