FG WOOS DANISH INVESTORS TO NIGERIA’S MARITIME SECTOR

The Federal Government has intensified efforts to attract Danish investors to Nigeria’s maritime sector, highlighting the country’s vast investment opportunities and the strategic importance of the sector to economic growth.

The government said Nigeria’s maritime industry offers significant opportunities across areas including port development, shipping, shipbuilding and repair, marine transportation, logistics, and other related services.

The engagement with Danish investors is aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation, attracting foreign direct investment and leveraging Denmark’s expertise and technological capacity to improve efficiency and competitiveness in Nigeria’s maritime sector.

The Federal Government reaffirmed its commitment to creating a more business-friendly environment, improving port infrastructure and implementing reforms that will facilitate investment and enhance Nigeria’s position as a major maritime hub in Africa.

The government expressed optimism that stronger collaboration with Danish investors would generate jobs, stimulate economic activity and contribute to the sustainable development of Nigeria’s blue economy.
