DG NTA DEMBOS RECEIVES THREE WINNERS OF 2026 NTA TABLE TENNIS COMPETITION

The Director-General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Salihu Abdulhamid Dembos, has received the winners of the 2026 NTA Table Tennis Competition in Abuja.

The competition brought together staff members from different departments and stations of the NTA, providing an opportunity for employees to demonstrate their sporting talents and promote teamwork and healthy competition within the organisation.

In the men’s category, Ignatius Nkwoh of NTA Parliament emerged as the winner, securing first position. His colleague from NTA Parliament, Eke Nwokocha, finished in second position, while Dennis Adegunloye of NTA News 24 came third.

In the women’s category, Ekemmini Williams emerged as the winner of the maiden edition of the women’s competition, taking home the trophy after an impressive performance.

Receiving the winners, NTA Director-General Salihu Abdulhamid Dembos commended the participants for their dedication, commitment and sporting abilities. He said their achievements had brought honour to the organisation and demonstrated the importance of encouraging staff members to develop their talents beyond their professional responsibilities.

Dembos urged members of staff to embrace a balance between intellectual engagements and physical activities, stressing the importance of multitasking and maintaining an active lifestyle.

He noted that sporting activities such as table tennis can strengthen relationships among staff, encourage teamwork and contribute to a healthier and more productive workforce.

The presentation of the winners marks another effort by the NTA to promote staff welfare, talent development and healthy competition within the organisation.
