The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council has accused the African Democratic Congress (ADC) of failing to pay its staff for more than a year, questioning the party’s ability to manage the country’s affairs if elected into office.

In a statement, the Council’s spokesperson, Dele Alake, alleged that the ADC National Working Committee, led by Senator David Mark as chairman and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as secretary, had neglected the welfare of party workers.

The APC Council also questioned the record of the ADC’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, alleging that his businesses, including Gotel Communications, had a history of unpaid staff salaries. It further criticised Aregbesola’s record on workers’ salaries and pensions during his eight-year tenure as governor of Osun State.

According to the Council, Aregbesola’s administration introduced quarter-salary and half-salary payments and allegedly left pensioners without adequate support for extended periods.

The Council described the alleged failure to pay ADC staff as a reflection of what it called the party’s insincerity, arguing that an organisation unable to meet its workforce’s welfare obligations should not be entrusted with governing Nigeria.

It urged Nigerians to reject the ADC, Atiku Abubakar and the party’s candidates in the 2027 general elections.
