The Nasarawa State Police Command has announced temporary road closures, traffic diversions and movement restrictions in designated parts of Lafia ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Rally scheduled for Wednesday, November 4, 2026.

The rally is expected to coincide with the visit of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the state.

In a statement, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Rahman Namsel, said the event is expected to attract top government officials, political leaders, dignitaries from across the country, APC members, supporters and other prominent personalities to the state capital.

He explained that the Command has put comprehensive security and traffic management arrangements in place to ensure the safety of the President and his entourage, rally participants and members of the general public.

According to the statement, the measures are also aimed at maintaining peace, law and order before, during and after the event.

The Command further disclosed that temporary traffic diversions and movement restrictions would affect designated routes, adjoining roads and strategic locations within the Lafia metropolis.
