REGULATING CATTLE GRAZING IN URBAN AREAS OF FCT IS NOT WITHIN POLICE MANDATE — FORCE PRO

The Nigeria Police Force says the regulation of cattle grazing in urban areas of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) is not within its mandate.

The Force Public Relations Officer explained that while the police have responsibilities for maintaining law and order and responding to criminal activities, the regulation of livestock and grazing activities falls under the appropriate civil authorities and regulatory agencies.  

The clarification comes amid concerns over cattle grazing within parts of Abuja and its potential impact on public safety, traffic and urban management.
