LASODA Commends LUREG Support Foundation for Assistance to Lupus Warriors

The Lagos State Office for Disability Affairs (LASODA) has commended the LUREG Support Foundation for its humanitarian contributions and continued support for people living with lupus, popularly known as lupus warriors.
The commendation highlights the importance of partnerships between government agencies and non-governmental organisations in improving the welfare, inclusion and quality of life of individuals living with health challenges.

LASODA acknowledged the foundation’s efforts in providing assistance to lupus warriors, noting that such interventions help ease some of the difficulties faced by affected individuals and promote greater awareness of their needs.
The agency also emphasised the importance of compassion, social support and collective responsibility in building an inclusive society where vulnerable persons are not neglected.

Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease that can affect different parts of the body, including the skin, joints, kidneys and other vital organs. People living with the condition often require continuous medical attention, financial assistance and emotional support.
The recognition of the LUREG Support Foundation further underscores the role of humanitarian organisations in complementing government efforts to promote social welfare and support vulnerable communities.
LASODA’s commendation is also expected to encourage more organisations, individuals and stakeholders to contribute towards improving the lives of people living with lupus and other health conditions.
