Tinubu Inaugurates APC 2027 Presidential Campaign Council, Tasks Members on Re-Election

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has inaugurated the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 Presidential Campaign Council in Abuja, calling on members to unite behind the party’s vision and mobilise support for his re-election bid.
During the inauguration, Tinubu expressed confidence in the council’s ability to coordinate the party’s campaign ahead of the 2027 general election. He urged members to take the APC’s policies, achievements and agenda to Nigerians across the country.
The President reaffirmed his commitment to the party’s manifesto, pledging to pursue its objectives and fulfil promises made to Nigerians. He also declared the APC ready for the 2027 elections, assuring supporters of the party’s determination to meet public expectations.
Tinubu thanked party leaders and members for their confidence in his leadership, promising not to take their support for granted. He also commended Governor Hope Uzodimma, Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum, and the council’s secretary for their contributions to the party’s preparations.
Yari Pledges Campaign Council’s Commitment to Victory
Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, has assured Tinubu of the council’s commitment to securing his re-election in 2027.

Yari gave the assurance during the inauguration, expressing appreciation to the President for the confidence reposed in the council’s leadership and members.
He pledged that the council would work to advance the APC’s campaign objectives, strengthen the party’s support base and mobilise voters across the country.
The campaign council is expected to coordinate political mobilisation, stakeholder engagement and other activities as the APC prepares for the forthcoming election.
Tinubu Addresses Coastal Flooding Concerns
The President also highlighted the threat posed by Atlantic Ocean surges and flooding, identifying the issues as challenges requiring attention.
Coastal erosion, ocean surges and flooding affect several communities in Nigeria, particularly areas exposed to rising sea levels and extreme weather events.
Tinubu’s remarks on the issues formed part of his broader message on the administration’s priorities and commitment to addressing challenges facing Nigerians.
Adeleke Reportedly Renews Support for Tinubu
Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke was also reported to have renewed his support for Tinubu during the political gathering.
The report linked entrance to a performance by Afrobeats star Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke and who is the governor’s nephew.
APC Intensifies Preparations for 2027
The inauguration of the presidential campaign council marks a step in the APC’s preparations for the 2027 general election.
Under Yari’s leadership, the council is expected to coordinate campaign activities, engage party stakeholders and communicate the party’s agenda to voters nationwide.
Tinubu’s call for unity and coordinated mobilisation places the campaign council at the centre of the APC’s efforts to secure another presidential term.
The 2027 general election is expected to feature competition among political parties seeking control of the presidency and other elective offices across Nigeria.
