OmoOwo Campaign Urges Calm, Reaffirms Solidarity with Adebutu

The OmoOwo for Senate 2027 Campaign Organisation has called on members and supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) across Ogun State to remain calm following the omission of the party’s governorship candidate, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, from the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) published list.

The organisation urged party members to allow the PDP leadership and its legal team to address the matter through the appropriate channels, stressing the need for unity as efforts to resolve the issue continue.
In a statement signed by Bosun Davies Shoyoye (BDS) of the campaign’s Media Directorate, the organisation expressed solidarity with Adebutu and backed the party’s efforts to resolve the development.
The campaign organisation said the Ogun State PDP leadership, under Hon. Dr. Abayomi Tella, maintained that Adebutu had duly registered as a party member and that his membership records were processed and submitted to INEC within the stipulated period.

It reaffirmed its support for the party’s efforts to address the matter, urging supporters to remain focused and avoid actions that could undermine party unity.
The organisation also noted that the names of PDP candidates across Ogun East, Ogun Central and Ogun West Senatorial Districts appeared on INEC’s published final list.
It said the development had not altered its commitment to its political activities and preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The OmoOwo for Senate 2027 Campaign Organisation further reiterated its commitment to engaging residents across Ijebu, Remo and Ogun Waterside, with a focus on effective representation.
It urged party members and supporters to remain united while the PDP leadership pursues a resolution through the appropriate channels.
The statement was signed by Bosun Davies Shoyoye on behalf of the campaign organisation’s Media Directorate.
