Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have arrested 18 individuals linked to the supply of logistics to Boko Haram terrorists, exposing a troubling pattern of civilian involvement in support networks sustaining insurgent activities in the North-East.

Preliminary findings revealed that the suspects were intercepted while moving through Gubio towards the Gudumbali axis, allegedly to deliver supplies to terrorist elements operating within the region. Initial confessions indicate that many of the suspects were drawn into the illegal activities due to economic hardship, underscoring how criminal groups continue to exploit vulnerable individuals to advance their operations.

The Nigerian Army has strongly cautioned citizens against any form of collaboration with terrorist groups, stressing that providing logistics, intelligence, or other forms of assistance constitutes a serious offence with grave implications for national security and public safety.

The Army further emphasized that the fight against terrorism requires a collective commitment, noting that the success of ongoing military operations depends significantly on the vigilance, cooperation, and active support of host communities. Residents were urged to promptly report suspicious movements and resist any inducement to aid criminal elements.

It also highlighted the importance of sustained socio-economic interventions and community-based initiatives aimed at strengthening resilience in affected areas. According to the Army, continued investment in empowerment programmes, skills development, and access to basic services would help reduce vulnerabilities and discourage involvement in criminal networks.

Reaffirming its commitment, the Nigerian Army stated that it remains resolute in its mandate to safeguard communities and protect law-abiding citizens. It, however, noted that lasting peace and stability can only be achieved through a unified approach that combines military efforts with inclusive development and strong community partnerships.

The public was therefore urged to continue standing firmly with the Armed Forces in rejecting terrorism in all its forms.
