FRSC Commences Strategic Training For Senior Officers Nationwide
Abuja, Nigeria, May 12, 2026
The Federal Road Safety Corps has commenced a high-level national capacity building programme for its senior officers as part of ongoing reforms aimed at strengthening operational leadership, professionalism, and service delivery across the Corps.
The initiative was launched by the Corps Marshal of the FRSC, Shehu Mohammed, who described the programme as a critical step towards improving the effectiveness and responsiveness of the organisation in addressing evolving road safety challenges nationwide.
In a statement signed by the Corps Public Education Officer, Osondu Ohaeri, the Corps Marshal noted that the FRSC can no longer depend solely on conventional enforcement approaches in managing modern traffic and road safety concerns.
He stressed that officers occupying strategic leadership positions within the Corps must continuously adapt to the realities of contemporary traffic management, public expectations, and emerging operational demands.
According to him, the training programme forms part of the Corps’ broader institutional transformation agenda aimed at promoting adaptive leadership, emotional intelligence, sound operational judgment, and improved public engagement skills among senior officers.
The FRSC leadership expressed confidence that the programme would further enhance the capacity of officers to deliver efficient road safety administration and strengthen public trust in the Corps’ operations across the country.
